History:
According to the Supreme Leader's recommendation to move towards the economic epic and his emphasis on the movement in the frontiers of knowledge and concerning Iran Vision Document 1404 and taking into account the scientific map of Iran University of Medical Sciences and modeled on reputable centers Internationally, the Faculty of Advanced Technologies in Medicine of Iran University of Medical Sciences was established. This faculty offers graduate degrees such as MSc, PhD, and PostDoc, especially in neuroscience, tissue engineering, molecular medicine, medical nanotechnology, artificial intelligence in medical sciences, cell therapy, cellular and applied sciences, molecular imaging, and other new approaches to attract students.
Establishing centers that are engaged in the production of science leading to products in line with clinical goals and health promotion can accelerate the steps of advancement in the relevant specialized fields by creating a suitable platform for the development of applied and technological research. On the other hand, the formation of different Team Working to increase the culture of cooperation in clinical and basic sciences plays a significant role, so that on the one hand, the university, while being dynamic at the international level, can continue its pioneering and excellence at the national level as always. Also, creating a positive view of industrial managers regarding the use of research achievements and with a special view on entrepreneurship, as one of the most important points that should be considered at the higher levels of decision-making, a revision in the assessment of members of academic faculties, universities, and students move from a purely research-oriented perspective to the originality of technological research.
